Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT)

A Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is a type of investment vehicle that invests in income-generating real estate properties such as office buildings, apartments, shopping centers, hotels, and others. REITs provide investors with a way to invest in real estate without having to directly own property.

They raise capital by issuing shares and use the funds to purchase and manage real estate properties. The income generated from these properties is then distributed to the shareholders in the form of dividends.

REITs are typically traded on stock exchanges and can provide investors with exposure to the real estate market.
